Preserving the Conservation breed of traditional all-around American farm dogs.

While descendents of a group of dogs imported from the UK, the English Shepherd was selectively developed by American farmers and ranchers for their utility as all-around farm dogs; the kind that they could not do without. They are an all-purpose working breed exhibiting great intelligence and stamina, discernment and sensitivity in work, while remaining bold when required, possessing the ability to think independently and remaining steady under pressure.

Sage is a blue female; she will remain with us and, pending her successful development, will be entered into our breeding program when she is of age (2028). Very sweet, keen, smart, active and assertive.

Bay is in his new home with his own mom, dad and 6 year old boy in PA. We are thrilled for him and his future!

Rosemary is in her forever home with an Agility trainer mom and three English Shepherd "brothers" in Upstate New York - we are so happy for her and look forward to her updates!

Thyme is being loved and coddled by his new folks, a lovely young couple in CT who enjoy many outdoor activities in which they will include him. He is going to have a wonderful life!

"Basil" is our biggest boy and is currently seeking placement in the perfect home! Black & white male, b. 2/19/26.
Open, kind, tolerant, sweet - just like his father.

Basil is no slouch - very energetic (between naps and meals) and runs all out to meet you!

Did I mention that Basil loves water?? ... just like dad! (here he is playing with brother Dill)

Even with a favorite treasure, he keeps his eyes on you. His eye contact is phenomenal.

This boy is Irish white - a full white left shoulder, a black patch on his right shoulder. He looks (and acts) a bit like a panda.

Just a big, eager, happy puppy seeking his very own people to keep smiling.

Dill is a very handsome tri-color male, perhaps the kindest and most sensitive of the litter, plays energetically but isn't one to start a fracas. Very sweet with his smaller sisters.

DIll really seeks engagement and connection with people.

A very symmetrically marked tri-color male, Dill has one small white fleck on his back and a chevron shaped collar with a point on his back.

He has always held the most meaningful gaze.

Little Dill taking a break in the shade.

He will try anything to get you involved in his play, and never in a mean or forceful way.

FreedomBends Crawdad Busy Buddy Mudbug, seal & white, b. 4/22/25- sire of the "Herb Garden" litter, his first. Crawdad's sire is Henry (Johnson's Henry of Windspun), a Yukon/Gracie son.

Crawdad and Chai, parents of the "Herb Garden" litter b. 2/19/26.

Crawdad's seal color is evident across his back and haunches.

Crawdad is ever alert.

Crawdad can cover some ground!

FreedomBend's Chime the Bell of Freedom ("Chai"), tri-color female, b. 4/10/24. Beautiful, smart, intensely devoted, Chai is truly an "English Shadow", following me on farm chore with horses, chickens, hounds and terriers. She loves to swim, clear out varmints, has a keen interest in livestock, loves people, extremely fast and energetic but has an off switch. Planning to train for Agility next.

Chai is just a sweetheart and a delight - she loves people, and we hope to prepare her to visit my friends at the home soon.

Chai LOVES to jump and will start agility classes this spring, which will give her a chance to showcase her speed, attentiveness and boldness.

Chai and our first ES "Lily", a rescue puppy-mill mommy, who started the whole trajectory into English Shepherds.

Chai with her first squirrel at about a year old - she is fast! She also had some tutoring from our older ES Lily.

Chai and her seven puppies: 3 tri-color, 1 seal tri-color, 2 black & white and 1 blue; 3 females and 4 males. She is a great mother!
